Northrim Bank, Chairman, President and CEO Joe Schierhorn is proud to announce that Jed Ballard, EVP - Chief Financial Officer, has recently graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School (PCBS).

PCBS is a three year program that, in partnership with the Graduate School of Business at the University of Washington, offers a unique combination of world class faculty, cutting-edge curriculum, and highly qualified participants that defines it as The Premier National Graduate School of Banking.

The Class of 2021 attended a two-week resident session in August 2019 and completed their final two years with virtual sessions. The school boasts over 12,000 alumni, with hundreds serving as leaders of financial institutions across the country. PCBS utilizes its vast industry resources to provide tactics and strategies to deal with today’s most pressing banking issues. Students participate in a BankSim project were students must successfully operate a hypothetical bank through different scenarios.

Northrim has two additional officers currently enrolled in the three-year program at PCBS, Kari Skinner, SVP - Marketing and Communications Director and Amber Zins, EVP - Chief Administrative Officer (both starting their second year). Northrim has long supported the learning opportunities provided through PCBS. Past graduates of PCBS at Northrim include:
